The oldest American Chestnut in the world stands on a backroad in Hants County, Nova Scotia, planted in 1905.

Red Oak, 1700
This tree is over 300 years old and stands behind Sherriff Hall onDalhousie University campus. This tree sprouted well before Halifax was founded.

Red Pine, 1720
Located in Fundy National Park in New Brunswick, Canada. Discovered by Ben Phillips, conservation officer at the UNESCO site.

Hemlock Forest
Numerous large Hemlock trees right on the path. Age unknown but the park has an interesting past. Hemlock Ravine, halifax.
