This site is under development and is being created to showcase old growth and heritage trees in Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
As this site is developed we invite readers to submit their own photography and stories of old trees and forests. Trees like this 300+ year old oak tree standing at Dalhousie University. The tree was growing before the city of Halifax was even established. Imagine the the stories it could tell.
When visiting old trees it is said that if you sit with your back against the tree you create a communication with the tree. In todays fast paced world you will discover the calming effect of spending time with old trees and walking the paths in old growth forests. We look forward to hearing your stories and seeing your photos.
